Why This Reference Exists
Horizon City records follow the functions of different custodians instead of one municipal directory. El Paso County maintains appraisal, recording, elections, and many court routes. The Town responds to requests for existing city-held records. Border Heritage, UTEP, UNT, the El Paso County Historical Society, and TSLAC supply the regional historical shelf. The aim is to make the proper route, access limit, and fallback clear before someone sends a request or relies on an index result.
What This Reference Identifies
- Pages by angle: the street directory (address-keyed records), the city directory (the historical shelf), and the resident lookup (one-person searches)
- The relevant offices: the appraisal district, County Clerk, Elections office, court clerk, vital-records route, and local-history collections
- Practical record trails: address research, a historical directory entry, and a household timeline across changing records
- Access context: Texas Public Information Act requests, index limits, restricted records, and the custodian fallback when no portal appears
Limits of Our Role
This is a privately operated reference, not a Horizon City office, El Paso County department, Texas agency, court, or library. The following limits apply:
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Horizon City
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
- We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
- We cannot guarantee that every link, office detail, or collection year is current at the moment of use
Only the responsible custodian can confirm, certify, or correct a record. The material here is not for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
